Play with your meals: Sautéed Garlic Prawn on Mango Salsa and Watermelon


Ladies get in here! You can make your partner, husband or boyfriend a simple easy classy meal without spending so many dollars in a restaurant. A few days ago, I went out with some classmates and my friend ordered king prawn on mango salsa and watermelon hence the inspiration for today's recipe. Although, the prep may be different I tried to recreated the dish my own way. Hope you guys can find time to try it out.



Ingredients

1 slice watermelon
1 cup of prawn
2 garlic cloves
Pinch of salt
Black pepper
1 mango (nicely diced)
1/2 cucumber (nicely chopped)
Fresh mint leaves
Salad mix (for decoration)
Handful snow pea sprouts (for decoration)
1 lemon (squeezed and nicely cut)
Barbecue sauce (for decoration)
1 tsp olive oil

Preparation 
Mango salsa 
Mix the mango, cucumber, chopped mint leaves and lemon juice in a small bowl then set aside.
         Sautéed garlic prawn 
Stir fry the prawn with  one (1) tsp of olive oil, minced garlic, salt and black pepper which will take about 7 mins.
         Plating
  •  In a plate, chop the watermelon into a long square shape. 
  • Then put the mango salsa on top of the watermelon likewise the prawn. 
  • Throw in the snow pea sprouts and salad mix to decorate. 
  • Lastly, design the plate as seen in the photos above.

  1. would sure try it and keep you posted, but most of this ingredient nor dey benin city any substitution for : mint leaves, snow pea sprout. then must it be black pepper, our normal grounded dried cant it surface for it. which one is salad mix.

    1. Hi darl, I understand some of the ingredients is not available in Benin. However, you can substitute black with red pepper and for the snow peas and mint, use any veggie of choice.
